I'm working on an ebook about my self taught journey to a career in web development. It's been interesting taking a trip down memory lane and reflecting back on the struggles I faced and what I learned. So much stuff that I didn't realize the value of until years later. I hope it helps get more marginalized folks into tech, or at least alleviates some of the fear. There is an excerpt from the book on my blog: https://www.multimedia-minds.com/2019/10/14/book-excerpt-learning-to-code

Hi everyone! I'm creating an online shop offering t-shirts for makers, designed as conversation starters around mental wellness, productivity, and productivity. Basically turning some of my most popular articles into simple, comfortable t-shirts and selling them on https://nesslabs.com β€” first time in a while I'll work on a physical product, feeling excited!πŸ‘©β€πŸ’»

Hi everyone! I work on an art project β€œisolation”. It's about censorship and misinformation on the Internet. The idea in that someone covers human's eyes with hands (propaganda) and a human peeps through these hands (it's like using VPN) to stop watching fake news.

I've built an MVP that doesn't work well yet. You can check it out here: https://isolation.glitch.me/ How does it work? The background becomes red or black if you cover your face with your hands (you maybe won't see this because of closed eyes, haha).

Currently, I am working on research. The next stage is design.

I'm writing a short ebook containing 30 actionable tips to increase a developer's productivity. I started strong and wrote 3 chapters (so like ~10% done) but then slacked off. Thanks for the nudge, will resume today! If you're a developer, it'd be great if you could take a look at the sections numbered 0-3 here: https://www.notion.so/swap/Actionable-Tips-to-Increase-a-Developer-s-Productivity-9ff321e138ee42b5820ea55a5ce7e4eb

I am joining the #WomenMakeChallenge πŸš€ I will be expanding on the idea behind thebooksbywomen.com a bit - want to create a curated list of great tweets, books and articles written by women in tech πŸ‘©β€πŸ’» I bought readwomen.tech to commit! Onward and upward! Looking forward to reading up on the projects for everyone joining!

Hi! I've been making a photo site for my mom! Still some tweaks here and there that I might make, but I'm pretty happy with the result so far! I think I may spend the rest of the challenge working on a portfolio/blog site :) https://www.joanfauedurrant.com/

I will be working on getting my website up and running. It will contain projects that I'm working on, preferably a blog, services I offer, skills, and resources for others who may be interested.

I am still in the starting phase so no pictures yet but they will be coming soon. Once completed, the website link will be ginacodes.dev. Keep your eyes peeled. I'm excited and this needs to happen. The challenge is the extra push that I need to get it completed this month.

I'll finally be working on the MVP for my next project, Upread! (https://upread.co). It's a platform or "toolbox" for independent publishers.

I've been wanting to build this project for a while, but given the recent job change, I have been putting it off. Very happy that this challenge will be giving me the kick in the butt that I need!

So far, I've built out the "coming soon" pages and started working on the back-end features last week!
