Love how thorough this article is, but I feel like β€œthe maternal wall” IS sexism. It’s just not as overt as β€œyou are a woman and therefore not smart enough for this job.” And it’s not completely sexism in part of the employer, it’s sexism in society that dictates women should shoulder more of the responsibility of child rearing.
