Bonjour people!
I wanted to share my new website with you. Thanks to @hannahhhmilan's incredible resources on accessibility, I implemented a lot of changes.
I'm now working with indie makers using tech for good as well as charities. So redesigning my website was an important step for me to better match their expectations.
If anyone would like to discuss accessibility, point out things I might have overlooked, online positioning or just web design, feel free to reach out. I love meeting new people from this community.
Hey, wow it looks so nice and it loads really fast and smooth!
Could you please tell what stack you used? I'd also like to know more about your animation techniques.
I'm working on a personal site this month, and I've found that the animations are slowing the performance. Perhaps you could share some tips :) My site is currently live at https://meljones.netlify.app/
The positioning on your site is a bit off on my little laptop (MacBook 12inch / 1280px) the Bonjour goes over the lefthand side menu, I think you could bring the font-size down a little for small laptops or decrease the left padding/margin.
But great job, I think it's looking very elegant and clean. Sorry I have no accessibility tips to add, but I will take your advice and check out the resources you shared. I need to do an accessibility check on my site too.
Cheers, Mel
It looks greaat! 💫 I want to build my website this month with Just F*ing Ship It challenge as well and I'll definitely check these resources.
Thank youu! Yeah, it's really worth it. Let me know how it goes for you.
So glad a11yresources is helping the community!! And OMG your new website is AWESOME!!!
You're so kind, thanks Hannah <3
