Just F*ing Ship It
Edition #4: Mar 1 - 30, 2022

Each year,
Women Make is holding a 30-Day Challenge.

The concept is simple: 30 days to build and launch something. Can be anything. It doesn't have to be a tech product. Can be with code or without code. The only requirement is to work on a project during these 30 days.

Last year, participants made websites, ebooks, apps, podcasts, newsletters, events, eshops, blogs, etc. You can have a look at finished projects here.

All ideas are welcome! You can build an app from A to Z. You can decide that you will reach a certain number of subscribers on your newsletter. You can add a feature to an existing product. You can finally get back to that side-project. It's really up to you. You get to define your own goal.

The only rule is to ship it by the end of the month.

The 30-Day Challenge is not a competition.

The particularity of this hackathon is that it’s not competitive. The goal is to work together, side by side, getting help from the community. There are no winners and we support each other the whole time.

During the challenge, you are strongly encouraged to build in public and take advantage of the community. We have a private Telegram group, as well as the forum, to communicate. On both, you can find support, ask for advice, get feedback, run polls, share your progress, and help others.

Why should I participate?

We all are busy and have things we keep postponing. This challenge is actually the perfect opportunity to get things done! Here are a few reasons why this is a great idea to participate:

  • Work on a new product
  • Boost your spirit
  • Get to know other members of the community
  • Do something you wouldn't normally do
  • Take some time to start a project you have in mind since some time
  • Get things done
  • Build something surrounded by amazing people
  • Show the world women build great things

We could go on. The thing is, if you read until here, it probably means you should do it. ;)

So, what's the plan?

The 30-day challenge starts on March 1, 2022 and ends on March 30, 2022. Don't worry! Depending on your availability, you can start a few days later. It's not a problem. It's okay if you don't know what to work on yet. We can actually help you with that: ask on our private Telegram chat or on the forum. Just jump in and we will figure it out together!
